These are notes I took. I have left them mostly as is, not correcting grammar or spelling, because I think that partially reflects my mood at the time.

Not much yet today (slow progress):

Pretty uneventful on the LABO side so far today. I’ve moved files from the old PC to the new PC, and I’ve been finding some old emails I was looking for. I sent some follow up letters to some people that have expressed interest. I kind of am hoping for some commitment from them at this point, so I know I’m not alone.

More importantly, I may have recruited another HR person today. I’ve never met Eric in person, but we know each other from Twins Daily and Facebook. He seemed interested, and I sent him a medium length email. In addition to that person, I sent a note to another HR person that Julianne knows, whom she indicated may be interested.

I also read uncounted articles from the AWAI on websites (most of which were common sense).

I also listened to a great podcast/interview today, which I wish I had listened to before I sent the note to Eric! I posted it on both LinkedIn and Facebook, since I think everyone should listen to it.

Looking back, I’d add this on reflection on that day:

Well, Eric switched careers, and was not interested in writing by the time I reached out to him. The other person has helped with Five on Friday, and may still write a few items. Here’s hoping! The main point of this post, imo, was to remind me to listen to that podcast again. The second point was to remind me not to put off reaching out to people. Lastly, when I read this, I am reminded that not every day is perfect, but most days have something positive in them. An important lesson to re-learn over and over.
