These are notes I took about tough conversations with the team working on the site. I have left them mostly as is, not correcting grammar or spelling, because I think that partially reflects my mood at the time…….Following up on my last post…..um, ya, still not doing well on this whole marketing my website thing…….

Notta, Nil….on Marketing My Website:

(February 7 or 8, 2019, not sure)

Today I am prepping to travel, so no work on the site, again. And tomorrow I travel, and then take care of my mom after surgery. Seems like there will be lots of time, but I always think that…..

I did help my brother in law move a giant locker out of the basement, and a table also. Then I washed dishes in a tub in the bathtub. And I cleaned up a bit. And now I’m killing time instead of working…..

Too Many Other Things to Bother Marketing My Website, Apparently

(February 6 or 7, 2019, give or take)

Well, I didn’t get much marketing work done today.

I did post a blurb on FB and LinkedIn, suggesting people prepare for layoffs ahead of time. This was triggered by the news that a friend of mine was laid off from a dream job, for which he moved across the country and bought a house!

Then I wired up the new bathroom fan and outlet. And then I went and helped Julianne’s installer at a job (when I help, we spend less money, meaning we make more money). I only help on bigger jobs, and not all that often.

Didn’t get home until after 4 or so. And, I didn’t get to eat much of anything, given the timing of everything…..so, ya, going to get some food and we’ll see if I work on the plan tonight, or rest….

Looking back, I’d add this on reflection on that day:

Quoting my last post…..Le Sigh, or something like that……I just wasn’t getting traction on marketing my website at all.

Frankly, I’m not doing much different now, just more often. I market my website thru FB and LinkedIn and Twitter. Sitting at a measly 10 visitors a day, give or take…….so, we’ll be doing some things differently soon. Of course, there are more notes to come, and they aren’t exactly uplifting, but they are honest stories about how hard it has been to launch this site and generate traffic.
